Requirements for the Annual Solo Piping Competition

SATURDAY 24th NOVEMBER 2007 Closing Date for Entries: 10th November 2007 The sets of tunes must be submitted at the time of your entry, ie. before the closing date. Pipers will then be informed well before the competition which sets have been selected. The contests will start shortly after 12 noon. Please note that only members who had joined the Society by Saturday 24th March will be eligible to compete. The Juvenile contest is open to any juveniles, members or not.

JUNIOR SECTION Open to all comers under the age of 18 on the day of the competition

Event 1: March 2/4 March (Minimum of 4 parts). One tune of the piper's choice.

OPEN SECTION Open to pipers of any age who are members of the Society

Event 1: March, Strathspey & Reel Two sets of March, Strathspey & Reel (Minimum of 4 parts per tune)   Event 2: Slow Air, Hornpipe & Jig Two sets of Slow Air/Hornpipe & Jig (Minimum 4 parts per tune for the Hornpipe & Jig)   Event 3: Piobaireachd The ground of one piobaireachd of the piper's choice.
